Little Mix just addressed split rumours for the first time

Little Mix have addressed speculation that they could be set to split for the first time, following the band's 10-year anniversary.

Rumours of a split have been circling for a while, particularly following Jesy Nelson's departure from the group. Plus, fans have been speculating that the group's upcoming album Between Us could be their last, especially in response to lyrics which appear to nod towards an ending.

However, band members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards have now indirectly addressed the talk for the first time - assuring fans that they'll still be going until at least 2031.

Speaking about the group's future following their 10-year anniversary, Jade revealed, "[In another 10 years] I'd like to think we're still be going then. We'd be doing another tour, another gig with more music," according to the Daily Star [via The Mirror].

Jade then even went as far as to predict what the band will be up to in two more decades, saying, "I'd love in 20 years' time that there was a fabulous documentary about how amazing we are."

Honestly, we can see it now.

The singers were also reportedly asked on Australian radio show Smallzy's Surgery, "Do we know what's next? Is that a question that collectively there’s no known answer to?"

Leigh-Anne responded, saying that the band will "never really die". She explained, "Well, I mean, I just think Little Mix, 10 years in, it’s something that can never really die if I'm honest."

Jade then sweetly added, "No matter what in the future, we’ll always have each other. We’re a throuple, in this together."

Rumours of a split have been circulating for a while, with fans discussing theories that the group could be set to go their separate ways following the lyrics to new single 'Between Us' from the album of the same name.

Lyrics include: "When the curtains close and all of the lights go down / Safe to say I'll stay, I will always stick around," and "Damn, we got history / Even when life moves on."

One fan tweeted about the song, "I'm in love and I'm bawling but why does it sound like Little Mix is about to split [sic]".

We're glad the group have set the record straight.
