As for what goes down, Fiona arrives home one day to discover a group of strangers moving into her house, with the furniture and family possessions nowhere in sight.

Insisting that her home isn't for sale, panic soon intensifies in Fiona as she can't reach Bram on the phone.

"As she reflects upon the safe space in which she and her family had made a life together, Fiona begins to peel back the layers of her relationship and discovers her husband has disappeared," elaborates a synopsis. "With her life shattered, she realises the secrets and lies have only just begun."

Our House is adapted from Louise Candlish's best-selling 2018 novel, and recently began rolling the cameras in South London.

Excited by the project, Downton Abbey actress Middleton commented: "What struck me about Our House is its immense relatability; it's a story where you catch a glimpse of yourself in the characters, and you get the chilling realisation that what happens to Fi could happen to anyone."

Expect Our House to air on ITV sometime next year.
