We don’t know who originally decided it was okay to eat cookies in cereal form, but we are certainly glad they did. Ever since the introduction of Cookie Crisp and Oreo O’s to the cereal aisle, breakfast has only become more fun.

Fans were thrilled when Mega Stuf Oreo O’s cereal returned earlier this year after a 4-year hiatus. And now, the Post brand is pushing the bounds of sweet cereal flavors yet again with what the brand calls, "the Oreo-flavored cereal you’ve been missing."

Post Introduces New Mint Chip Oreo O’s Cereal

It’s only natural that the long-established cookie brand would develop a stand-out line of cereal products. After all, it is milk’s favorite cookie. But now, the cookie company is taking Oreo O’s to the minty side in a twist nobody expected, but everybody's loving.

New, limited-edition Oreo O’s Mint Chip cereal is bringing the beloved combo of Oreo and mint to your morning cereal bowl. The cool new flavor will give you the same crisp, chocolatey, cooling sensation of biting into a Mint Oreo cookie—but for breakfast.

Oreo lovers know that when it comes to cookie fandom, there's practically a distinct class dedicated solely to the Mint Oreo variety. After all, it is a very different flavor experience from your average cookies and cream. And, Oreo has recognized the mass enthusiasm with the launch of several minty products, including Oreo Mint ice cream pints, Oreo Mint ice cream sandwiches, and, most recently, the limited-edition Mint Chip Oreo cookies.

But, the brand isn't stopping there.

"Inspired by Oreo’s most recent cookie launch, this cereal features chocolatey, crunchy O-shaped bites made with the Oreo cookie taste you love, with the addition of a cool, mint flavor," the brand shared in an email press release. "This combination gives you a bowlful of cookie milk that tastes so good you’ll finish it off with a smile."

This chocolate-mint cereal is for those who can’t get enough of the fan-favorite flavor pairing—morning, noon, or night. It’s made with real Oreo cookie wafers and promises a totally unique cereal experience from anything else on shelves.

Fans already seem delighted by the announcement of the innovative new Oreo snack, commenting, “this cereal looks so amazing,” and, "this is the breakfast of my dreams."

Fans have reported spotting the cereal at Giant so far, but, according to the brand, the new flavor will land in more retailers nationwide soon. Until then, we'll be snacking on the other special-edition goodies Oreo has in stores.
