Lily James' Golden Globes diamond necklace had a hidden message you might have missed

Lily James looked every inch the leading lady at the 80th annual Golden Globes on Tuesday night, donning the most striking red Versace gown.

The Pam & Tommy star pulled out all the stops with the help of her long-time stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, in a bold, strapless number which featured stylish midriff cut-outs and a seriously voluminous skirt.

But the sartorial detail that piqued our interest the most was her exquisite floral-style choker necklace, courtesy of Harry Winston. The statement diamond piece, styled alongside matching drop-down earrings and a delicate pinky ring, shone beautifully and balanced perfectly against the warmth of her gown.

Following some extensive skin prep by Iván Pol, Lily looked exquisite in cat-eye liner, feathered brows and a neutral lip, created by makeup artist Nina Park using Charlotte Tilbury. Her 90s bombshell bob was styled by Halley Brisker with tape-in extensions "to really max out that flick".

The star continued: "To know so much of this land—over 1,000 square miles globally is protected by the natural diamond industry makes me incredibly proud to be @onlynaturaldiamonds global ambassador."

The Natural Diamonds Council's platform described, within its own post, the Cinderella actress' "profound connection to the precious gems after her life-changing trip to Botswana".
