Lily Collins just married Charlie McDowell and the photos are *everything*
Big congratulations are in order for Lily Collins, star of Emily In Paris, who has just wed film director Charlie McDowell – and the pictures of their special day are beyond beautiful.
Posting about the happy news on Instagram, Lily told her 23 million followers that she and Charlie officially tied the knot in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado on 4 September. She also shared a seres of sentimental tributes to her new husband, who is the son of actress Mary Steenburgen (who's been in Step Brothers and OITNB) alongside images of them kissing in a forrest and by a waterfall.
Captioning the first shot, in which - can we just quickly add - her Ralph Lauren lace wedding dress looks absolutely stunning, Lily wrote, "I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell… Photo by: @cedarandpines."
In a second follow-up post about her nuptials, Lily shared a closer picture of Charlie lovingly touching her face (and she looks so glowy and happy that we actually can't cope?). She captioned this photo as "Never been happier" and truly, that's exactly how she looks:
Lastly, Lily shared a photo of her and Charlie kissing by a dramatic-looking waterfall with the emotional words, "What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start…"
Sharing the same photos on his own social media account, Charlie heaped a whole load of praise on his new wife and said that their waterfall kiss was a moment he'd never forget. "I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I've ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins... This moment will forever play inside my head."
Rather adorably, Lily commented on his post with, "I'm so excited to be your WIFEY"
The couple became engaged since last September and were first linked to one another in the summer of 2019, according to a report from PEOPLE, which is when Lily posted pictures of them together whilst out filming Emily In Paris in... well yeah, in Paris.
