In 2019 a relationship unfolded which has left us very excited: David Harbour and Lily Allen.

The Stranger Things actor and British singer were spotted together on several occasions before confirming their relationship at events like the Screen Actors Guild awards.

Now, the couple have officially cemented their relationship by marrying! The A-Listers exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas in September, 2020.

Here's everything we know about their wedding and how they arrived at this point...

September 8, 2021: Lily Allen celebrates one-year anniversary with David Harbour

To mark her paper anniversary with her husband, Allen has shared several videos and photos during the course of their relationship and some never-before-seen photos from their wedding in Las Vegas.

'1 year down with this guy. Happy Anniversary baby @dkharbour. I prefer my life with you in it. You can stay , [sic]' Allen captioned the carousel of content.

In one video Harbour smashes into a desert with a spoon, tucks into a Five Guys with his wife and poses with their Elvis Presley officiant. In other photos Allen's daughters, Marnie and Ethel, pose in their peach-coloured bridesmaids dresses, which they'd styled with trainers.

In one image, Allen can be seen wearing a leopard print coat, sunglasses and a wedding veil while taking a selfie in a bathroom mirror.

July 29, 2021: David Harbour Says Stranger Things Role Prepared Him For Parenting Lily Allen’s Kids

In Stranger Things, the police chief character Hopper - who Harbour plays - grows to care for and become a father to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). At around the same time, in his personal life, Harbour met and then married Allen and became a stepfather to her two daughters Ethel and Marnie.

Laughing about whether his personal life contributed to Jim Hopper successfully raising Eleven, or if his Stranger Things storyline led him to raise real daughters in his real life during a discussion on the That Scene podcast, Harbour confirmed it was 'very much the latter'.

'TV definitely helped me in my life. I'm very much a New York city rat, I liked my freedom, my independence, and then it was really this part that did changed a lot of that perspective. The show did open my heart in a lot of different ways. One of the ways that it did was it started to make me realise how thin my existence was without a family,' the actor explained.

'The fact that this guy [Hopper] was maturing into a father, [it's] something, clearly, that my subconscious was crying out to do. I think its personally why things are successful, it's because there's some unique alchemy between the performer and the role.

'I feel like there's something in Hopper that had this deep need for family and there was something in me that had it too but that I wasn't even aware of. The role allowed me to do that in my real life, it was a nice test run.'

July 11, 2021: David Harbour discusses meeting his wife before filming Black Widow

In a new interview with The New York Times to promote his new film Black Widow Harbour discussed his changing body while filming the Marvel project and meeting his wife.

'It's a true testament to my undeniable charisma when I say that my wife met me at 280 pounds with this beard and this hair,' he told the NYT. 'We went on a date at the Wolseley [restaurant] in London, and she really fell for me at my worst, physically and hair-wise.'

The actor noted that when he began to physically prepare for his action role in the film, Allen has 'mixed feelings'.

'So as the thing went on, I started losing the weight and working out. And she honestly has some mixed feelings about it,' he noted. 'Which is a good place to be in a relationship. It's really good to start the relationship from that part, as opposed to being the young, handsome buck and watching yourself degenerate over the years.'

June 3, 2021: David Harbour discusses reasons for marrying Lily Allen

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Stranger Things actor discussed his Las Vegas nuptials with Allen and explained about his decision to marry the singer in September, 2020.

Referring to Allen's children, Ethel and Marnie, Harbour told the host how he was riding bikes with the girls in the countryside when Allen's youngest daughter Marnie, aged eight, kept calling him 'David' then 'Dad' because the letter 'D' was getting her confused.

'The older one got very upset with that which I understand said, "He's not our dad, he's not our dad" and the younger one was like, "Well what is he, he's kind of her dad?, he's kind of our step dad?" and the older one said, "He's just some guy in our lives,"' Harbour explained.

'For real. I was like, "I need to marry this woman because the emotional fallout..." Harbour laughed. 'It's like my favourite thing I've ever been called.'

The 46-year-old also joked about the Las Vegas Clarke County Office being the root of the public knowledge of his wedding to Allen by releasing their marriage certificate on social media (which Allen also discussed in October, see below).

'Clearly what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas,' the actor joked.

October 27: Lily Allen Discusses How News Of Her Marriage Hit Headlines

Lily Allen has shared more wedding details about her September nuptials.

During an episode on Gizzi Erskine and Sydney Limaa's Sex Lies and DM Slides podcast for Spotify, the singer explained how she made the decision to upload wedding day photos following her marriage to Harbour.

The singer explained that she and the actor decided to get married in Las Vegas, Nevada because 'it was the only place that seem to be stupid enough to have ceremonies'.

The mother-of-two also divulged that announcing their marriage to the public was not part of the initial plan.

'It's interesting though because we didn't plan to announce it to anyone, like it was meant to be a private affair,' she said. 'We were leaving Las Vegas and driving to Los Angeles and Nevada Clark County tweeted our marriage certificate.'

October 25: Lily Allen Discusses Future Plans For Children With David Harbour

In a candid interview with The Times, the 'Not Fair' singer discussed her marriage with Harbour and any future plans to have children. Allen is already mother to two daughters, Ethel and Marnie, from her previous marriage to Sam Cooper.

Allen confirmed she met Harbour on a celebrity dating app before meeting for a date at The Wolseley before discussing their wedding and finding her wedding dress - a vintage Christian Dior mini dress - last minute at a dress rental store in Las Vegas. The interviewer then asked Allen if she would like more children, with Harbour.

'I think so,' the singer responded. 'Especially now Marnie’s getting so big. It’s like, "no, my babies!"... I miss little terrors running around the house.'

Allen confirmed she wanted to wait a few more years though before trying for any more children: 'I’m in a really good place. I don’t know if I’d mess with my hormones, at this particular point.'

September 6: Lily Allen and David Harbour Are Married!

After early reports that the couple took the next step in their relationship by obtaining a marriage license, the Smile’ singer confirmed that she had actually married the Stranger Things star in Las Vegas.

In the adorable photo, Allen and Harbour can be seen smiling and putting their faces together while an Elvis Presley impersonator sings beside them at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in the Nevada city.

Clutching a bridal bouquet, Allen wears a veil and a belted, A-line mini dress, which she revealed on Instagram to be by Dior.

The intimate ceremony was followed with a low key wedding breakfast... an In-N-Out burger.

Harbour also shared on his Instagram that the only guests at their wedding were Allen's two children, her daughters Marnie and Ethel.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

April 27: Lily Allen sparks engagement rumours...again

The British star has sparked rumours of a possible engagement to David Harbour with the hep of a new bathroom selfie.

On Monday, the 'Smile' singer shared a photograph of her reflection in her bathroom mirror wearing a ring on her 'ring finger' – albeit on her right hand.

'Needs affirmation,' she captioned the selfie.

The snap – and more importantly ring – sparked speculation as to whether Allen and Harbour might have enjoyed a not-so-secret wedding proposal during lockdown.

'Engagement ring?' wrote one of Allen's followers. Others commented with ring emojis and question marks.

This isn't the first time the pair have fuelled engagement rumours.

Last year, the singer was seen on several outings in the US wearing a ring on her left ring finger while out with her boyfriend.

April 10: Lily Allen throws David Harbour a birthday party

Lily Allen has thrown her boyfriend David Harbour the most adorable party to celebrate his 45th birthday on Good Friday.

Over the weekend, the Stranger Things star shared a collage of photos from the shindig, in which his partner is seen with her two daughters, a birthday cake and party decorations.

‘To all my friends and fans that reached out with birthday wishes yesterday, thank you, so happy to have so so so so many people out there tracking my race to being infirm and embarrassingly saggy all over,’ he captioned the snaps.

‘And to those that didn't, you're heartless jerks.’

He added: ‘Very happy the supply lines still manage to ship dinosaur toothpicks. A birthday isn't the same without an extinct species menagerie atop lush radioactive fluorescent green icing.

‘I feel like a quarantined kid again, on the verge of a 10,000 year ice age,’ Harbour joked. ‘Hey triceratops! Looking trim!’

The actor ended his captioned by adding that British baker Paul Hollywood should call Allen for tips.

Meanwhile, the singer shared a photograph of a three-layer birthday cake she made for her beau with the caption: ‘HBD @dkharbour.’

On Easter Monday, Allen took to Instagram Stories to reveal that she, Harbour and her daughters were watching The Sound of Music on the sofa together.

In her Stories, Harbour can be seen pulling faces to the camera as they watched the musical.

If you're in need of some interiors inspiration this week, we encourage you to sit back and watch Harbour's tour of his New York City loft.

Earlier this month, the actor gave fans a sneak peek of his Big Apple home that he moved into a year and a half ago.

In a video for Architectural Digest, the star walks through his loft space which features a large, open plan kitchen-come-study-come-dining room-come lounge, bathed in natural light.

'I like a lot of plants,' he says as she shows off his fauna collection, Masters of the Universe poster and bookcase which has not one but two copies of

Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes.

'I’ve had some very bad couches in my existence on this earth,' he adds, pointing to a tan-coloured sofa he presumably has snuggled up on to watch the Great British Bake Off with Allen.

Our favourite design element of his apartment? The turquoise-hued Harry Potter-inspired spa-like bathroom with a bathtub which features four taps. 'Why not four taps?' he jokes.

'The prince, princess and the parking lot,' Harbour captured the post before emphatically promoting the Seven Dwarves rind at the theme park.
