Since 2018, Hamilton had been a global ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger, but that was when he was driving for Mercedes-AMG’s Petronas’s Formula 1 team. That 12-season partnership ended last year. This year, he began racing for Scuderia Ferrari.

At Lululemon, the British racing star will collaborate with the brand on future designs as well as global advocacy work.

“Lululemon product is such high quality, looks amazing and ultimately delivers the performance I need it to,” Hamilton said. “I’m excited to partner with a brand that embraces a holistic approach to wellness. Together we want to inspire our communities to be the best versions of themselves.”

Over the course of his career, Hamilton, the sport’s only Black driver, has notched the most Grand Prix race victories, podiums and pole positions, along with seven World Championships. Off the track, he’s become well-known in fashion circles, becoming a front-row regular during fashion weeks, and heating up social media with his over-the-top outfits. But he’s also known for his commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in motorsport and social justice around the world.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Lewis to the Lululemon collective as our newest ambassador,” said Nikki Neuburger, chief brand and product activation officer for Lululemon. “Lewis is a game-changer in every sense of the word. His relentless commitment to performance, well-being and impact align completely with what we stand for at Lululemon. We’re excited to partner with him to innovate, inspire, and create positive change together.”

As a brand ambassador, Lewis will work closely with Lululemon’s research and innovation, design and development teams to provide insight and feedback on the company’s athletic and lifestyle collections. Lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact will also partner with Lewis’ global foundation Mission 44, to incorporate movement and mental health experiences into its efforts to build a better future for young people through education, employment and empowerment.

In addition, Hamilton will be featured in Lululemon’s upcoming global campaign, “No Holding Back,” that will spotlight the dedication, physical and mental training it takes to be a champion. He will be featured in Lululemon’s newest men’s training apparel as well as its popular Metal Vent Tech product.
