'Let Him Go' Viewers Are Posting Same Heartbreaking Reactions
While we've only just recovered from the heartbreak caused by From Scratch, Netflix has only gone and dropped Let Him Go – and it has fans taking to social media to share their upset.
The film, which was actually initially released in 2020, stars Kevin Costner, Lesley Manville and Diane Lane, and tells the story of a couple whose son dies. Their daughter-in-law then remarries into an abusive relationship, and the ageing couple set out to rescue their grandson.
As the official synopsis reads, 'Following the loss of their son, retired sheriff George Blackledge (Costner) and his wife Margaret (Lane) leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas, headed by matriarch Blanche Weboy.
'When they discover the Weboys have no intention of letting the child go, George and Margaret are left with no choice but to fight for their family.'
Since the film dropped on the streaming platform, viewers have been taking to social media to share how heartbreaking they're finding the movie. 'Um Let Him Go on Netflix is so sad,' one person wrote.
Another put, 'Finished watching Let Him Go on Netflix and the ending really got me crying all night :'// I didn't sign up for this.' Someone else said, 'Let Him Go on Netflix got me so emotional.'
