(Beauty Bay)

September is a time for new beginnings with the start of the new school year and the symbolic reset that this brings. It’s also the time for an overhaul of our beauty regimes - switching up light formulas to thicker textures ready for the colder weather and summer hues to more autumnal shades.

In our Let’s Make-Up round-up, we bring you a selection of the tried and tested, freshest, and buzziest beauty launches that are worth adding to your basket. All types of lotions and potions across makeup, skincare, haircare and more cross our desks and we take it upon ourselves to review each and every one so that you don’t have to. If we include it below, then you know it’s a good ‘un.

For the beginning of the autumn, there’s much to be excited about. Bring a pop of colour into your makeup regime with the help of Beauty Bay who has teamed up with the Walt Disney Studios Ink & Paint Department and delved into their archives to create eye-popping palettes. Lottie London has also harked back in time with a Y2K revival with My Little Pony. If you’re not quite ready to take the bold shadow plunge, By Terry has you covered with its Bonjour Paris palette with nine shades that have universal appeal.

On the skincare front, Keys Soulcare is back with two new sure-to-be cult products, while Caudalie is stepping up its game once again with a blemish-busting range that will be a godsend to acne-prone skin. Paula’s Choice has a clinical-strength formula to tackle pigmentation and 001 Skincare has created an innovative dispenser to make your serums more efficacious.

Elsewhere, there’s a new kid on the block - above & beyond - has a lip balm designed for lifetime use and Aurelia has an attractive new look and a new range. Christian Louboutin has also entered the refillable landscape with a lipstick - and naturally, it comes in that signature Louboutin red.

For plenty more besides, see our edit of the beauty goodies you need on your radar.

Kankan Near Perfect Sets

Refillable soap brand Kankan is always looking for ways to reduce their impact on the planet, from working with local suppliers and small runs to tackle oversupply, to finding homes for the items that are not quite perfect - and it’s the latter that has caught our eye this month. The label is offering its signature reusable bottles with very slight imperfections at a fraction of the cost, saving you money and the items from landing in the bin.
