It’s the start of a new year and 2022 is going to be the best one yet. Allow us to manifest please.

In our Let’s Make-Up round-up, we bring you a selection of the tried and tested, freshest, and buzziest beauty launches that are worth adding to your basket. All types of lotions and potions across makeup, skincare, haircare and more cross our desks and we take it upon ourselves to review each and every one so that you don’t have to. If we include it below, then you know it’s a good ‘un.

January is a time for reset and that includes your beauty routine. This month’s new launches are all about giving back and starting fresh. Jo Malone is helping you well on your way to the first one through its charity candle that donates 75 per cent of the RRP to mental health charities including Black Minds Matter.

It’s Veganuary and you need the skin, hair and bodycare to match so it’s the perfect time for Aussie-import Bondi Wash to land on UK soil. Elsewhere you’ll find new additions to the ever-growing Keys Soulcare line-up from Alicia Keys and more non-nonsense skincare from CeraVe and The Inkey List.

For all this and more, see our edit of the beauty goodies you need on your radar.

Jo Malone Elderflower & Gooseberry Charity Candle

Jo Malone is giving back with its new candle. The add-on to its hugely covetable range will donate to important charities with each purchase. The Elderflower & Gooseberry has floral notes of summer-green gooseberries and delicate elderflower. With each one sold, the brand will donate 75 per cent of the RRP to support individuals and families affected by mental health problems, including its new partner Black Minds Matter.

Keys Soulcare Bodycare and Skincare additions

Alicia Keys’ eponymous range will be adding both body and skincare to its collection. As with all the drops, each and every product is designed to create a ritual for your body, mind and spirit to care with intention.

In the body care realm, you’ll find the Mind-Clearing Body Polish (£25). This is made up of physical and chemical exfoliants to transform dull and dry skin and to smooth as you moisturise. The Melting Body Balm (£30) combines shea butter and coconut oil moisturiser to soften and soothe, while the Dry Body Brush (£22) uses biodegradable vegan bristles to gently exfoliate.

Last but not least, the Nourishing Cleansing Balm (£30) transforms from an oil to a milk when applied onto the skin. It melts makeup, dirt and impurities from the day with a stellar combination of niacinamide, zinc PCA and snow mushroom.

CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water

Jo Loves Cobalt Patchouli & Cedar and Red Truffle

Jo Malone changed the scent game when she launched her Jo Loves Fragrance Paintbrush collection back in 2017. Instead of the traditional spritz, you apply the aroma much like a cosmetic product. It comes as a gel texture that dries onto the skin and makes the fragrance last far longer. They are also refillable and thus more sustainable than traditional flacons.

This month, the brand is launching two new scents - Cobalt & Patchouli, a clean crisp open with a warm woody vetiver, patchouli and cedarwood finish and Red Truffle that combines the unmissable truffle aroma with green fig, citrus and fresh pine.
