A legendary Leeds city centre shop has closed.
Famous for all kinds of outfits, wigs and accessories, Smiffys Dress Up and Party, based in Albion Street, has shut down. A notice is in the window of the vacant Leeds city centre unit.
It reads: “This store is now closed.” Another sign advises potential customers to visit a branch in Headingley.

It is the latest closure we’ve seen in Leeds city centre in recent weeks. Elsewhere, Poundland, based at The Core, has shut as part of the regeneration at the shopping centre.
