Everyone has a different experience with their in-laws. While some people have been close to their partner's parents from the beginning, others might have required more time to build a solid relationship.

That said, I'm wondering about your experience with your in-laws — did they dislike you at first, and if so, what's your relationship with them like today?

Maybe you initially got the cold shoulder for no real, logical reason other than being the new girl or boyfriend, but once you all got to know each other, you got along great.
