Lauryn Goodman's heartbreaking decision after taking son Kai, 4, to see Kyle Walker in Euros
Lauryn Goodman has shared the heartbreaking decided she made to protect her son during the England Euros match.
The 33-year-old took her son, Kairo, to watch his dad Kyle Walker play for the national team in the football tournament this week.
Her four-year-old wore an England shirt with "Daddy" and the number two on the back for the occasion.
However the mum has revealed to the Daily Mail that she and Kairo left the stadium five minutes before the end to avoid a sad situation.
Lauryn said: "We left five minutes early to avoid Kairo being upset and confused that his daddy went over to his siblings but not him,"
"It would have been so sad for him and I wasn't going to risk that."
Annie Kilner, Kyle's wife and mum to four of his boys, was also at the England match.
However she was sat with other wives and girlfriends of the players, while Lauryn sat in a different part of the stadium.
Despite deciding to leave early, Lauryn said that she and her son had the "best day ever."
Lauryn added: "It made me so emotional because it's like Kairo doesn't understand what his dad has done yet."
She shared her time in Germany with her follows on social media and has received plenty of support from fans.
One fan said: "I would never dream of messaging someone this but honestly you've done your son and daughter proud.
"Kairo should one million percent be at those games. I hope you know how amazing you are and how proud you should be.
Another added: "The fact you put yourself in that situation to give him that experience shows the mama you are! Amazing."
Footballer Kyle had previously caused a stir when it was revealed he had fathered two children with Lauryn.
The footballer is also the father of Lauryn's one year old daughter, whose name has not been disclosed.
Kyle reportedly fathered his first child with Lauryn during a break from his relationship with Annie in 2019.
He later reconciled with Annie and they are believed to have tied the knot in 2021.
In 2021, Lauryn gave birth to her second child with Kyle after he had a fling with her despite being back with Annie.
Annie allegedly found out about his second child with Lauryn when the model sent her a message on Instagram over Christmas. Following this revelation, Annie announced that she had split from the footballer.
