Larry David had some pretty, pretty, pretty good news at the Curb Your Enthusiasm TCA panel this week.

Most importantly, Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Ed Begley, Jr., Carrie Brownstein, Lauren Graham, Nick Offerman, Nasim Pedrad, Elizabeth Perkins, June Diane Raphael, and Judge Judy are all set to be guest stars in the upcoming ninth season. It's a strong list-I can't wait for Judge Judy to call Larry an asshole-that almost makes up for the six-year hiatus since the last season of.

And yesterday, David explained why he decided to finally bring the show back after such a long break.

"You know, I'm not a miser, so to speak. I don't really miss things, people that much. But I was missing it. And I was missing these idiots," he said at the TCA panel. "So I thought, 'Yeah, what the hell?' I got tired of people asking me, 'Is the show coming back?' I couldn't face that question anymore. And I wasn't ready to say no, never. And I kept saying, 'Maybe, who knows?'

So there you have it: Like the fictional Larry David he plays on TV, you can get a reaction out of Larry David if you annoy him enough.

There was another bit of interesting news that has nothing to do with David's loosely scripted comedy series. It's about a major character he played during the show's hiatus: Bernie Sanders. It turns out that it's not only coincidence that Sanders and David kind of look alike and have a few similar characteristics. They're distantly related, David recently found out.

"I was very happy about that. I felt there had to be a connection," he said. "I also found out I have Nazis in my family … no, no, but there are slaveholders, though."

Ahh, classic Larry, always there to make you cringe.
