Earlier this month, we saw the new Top Gun: Maverick movie premiere in Leicester Square with the likes of Tom Cruise, Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge all making Bond-like appearances on the red carpet. And in conjunction with this, in the following weeks, we were to also receive a new single from Lady Gaga that was to feature on the movie's soundtrack. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait too long for the singer-cum-actor's new song for it has just dropped.
If you haven't already been listening to the tune, named Hold My Hand, on repeat all morning, firstly why not? And secondly, open up Spotify, pronto because I'm calling it here first, folks: Gaga will win yet another Oscar for this – it's epic.
Though, banging vocals aside, it is also so worth you pulling up the song on YouTube as Gaga has also debuted a brand new music video alongside the track. Plus, I say this solely for the three, yes three new hairstyles she wore in the mere three-minute video. It's as if all our Christmases have come at once!!!
The first hairstyle we see is a messy (yet still chic) half-up top knot with a deep-side parted fringe. As much as we love this look, it gets better, trust me.
Next up, Gaga gives us a very wearable, everyday messy ponytail. Seems pretty tame, right? WRONG. Just you wait...
The final look in the music video and one that the House of Gucci star shared in an Instagram post is her talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before blonde bouffant beehive. Now that's a mouthful. See the style below:
The sky-high bouffant (well almost) is even complete with the icon's signature side-swooping, eye-grazing fringe. Together, with Gaga's full glam makeup beat, we'd argue that she is pretty unrecognisable. I mean, even the champagne blonde colour is worlds apart from her current peroxide white hair.
As one fan puts it in the comments: "u look so good yas mawmaw".
