When you’re Lady Gaga, and have worn some of the most outrageous outfits ever imagined, you’re going to go all out for your 30th birthday.

We’re talking MASSIVE puffball shoulders, a metallic prom princess mini dress and platform heels that would make Madonna shudder.

But let’s go back to the power shoulders. The Saint Laurent staple that stormed the brand’s new season collection at Paris Fashion Week last month, curtesy of Hedi Slimane. It wasn’t just the big shoulders that were, well, big.

The 80s theme ran throughout the show and saw models take to the catwalk in metallic bows, one-shoulder slinky frocks, clashing colours and a lot of red lipstick. But it was the LGD (little gold dress, duh) that got everyone talking - and Lady Gaga planning her birthday ensemble.

The gold sequin mini dress was definitely a winning look for the blonde, who must’ve been the belle of the ball. After all, who could top that look?

Just like the model in the AW16 show did, Gaga paired her frock with a wide black belt that cinched in her waist - and showed off just how tiny she is.

But, unlike the runway model, Gaga left her legs bare (she was in LA after all) and finished the look with stacked, black platforms.

All-in-all, a sartorial success.
