Lady Gaga Dons A Huge Faux-Fur Coat To Celebrate Major Career Milestone
Gaga, oh la la. It’s a big week for Lady Gaga. The singer leads the Coachella line-up announcement, set to headline 2025’s 'chaos in the desert' alongside other acts like Charli xcx, Megan Thee Stallion, Jennie, LISA, and FKA Twigs. It’s bombastic, as high as her fluffy mullet and as big and beautiful as the massive faux fur coat she donned to announce yet another career milestone.
Over on Instagram, Gaga shared the news that her track ‘Die With A Smile’ is officially the fastest song in history to reach one billion streams on Spotify. The carousel of images to accompany the post sees the singer in a series of highly saturated, 70s editorial-like shots.

In the lead image, she wears a prairie-like white lace nightgown with a ruffled neckline, sky blue shadow and black winged eyeliner, her golden and blown out mullet cascading down her back. In another image, she wears a floral brocade mini dress with billowing, cuffed sheer sleeves, chunky 70s sunglasses, and patterned white stockings.
The knockout look, though, is Gaga lounging in a huge, chestnut brown faux fur coat, paired with pointed red satin stilettos. She looks like both a classic screen siren and a 70s kingpin, and at the same time, gives us serious winter coat inspiration.
'I will completely cherish this moment,' Gaga wrote in her caption. 'I'm so grateful to monsters and hooligans and so many people all over the world who fell in love with our song. I feel so lucky.'
The Grammy award winner released the first single, 'Disease', from her forthcoming seventh studio album last month. The record is expected to drop in February. She released her album Harlequin in September to accompany her starring role in Joker: Folie à Deux.
Across the press tour for the Joker film, Gaga had a lot of fun with her wardrobe. For the LA premiere, she opted for a black Celine gown with a shoulder-framing sculptural cape – a real movie villainess look. For the London premiere, Gaga did some method-dressing in a stark red Celine ball gown and jacket, with a red bob and clown-esque makeup.
Her Venice premiere outfit was a diva moment on the red carpet, where Gaga wore a plunging black Dior gown and a Philip Treacy headpiece once worn by the late Isabella Blow. Clown-core pieces made a few appearances too: checkerboard jester tights, a cartoonish custom leotard by Ida Immendorff, celebrity fave Marc Jacobs Heaven ‘Kiki’ boots.
The ‘vast fur coat’ is by LA-based brand Entire Studios, which has found fans in Kim Kardashian and collaborator Kylie Jenner. Whether it’s the cold snap or a subtle nod to the vibe and aesthetic of the forthcoming LG7 record, Gaga finds a way to make gargantuan look chic.
