Cast your mind back to 2012. Twilight was absolutely huge, with the final piece of the vampiric saga Breaking Dawn: Part II due for a November release.

Kristen Stewart, or as you might recall ‘K-Stew’, was making headlines alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie as one of Hollywood’s most bankable actresses.

But somewhere in all of that, there was her dramatic split from then-boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.

In July 2012, paparazzi pictures surfaced of the actress cheating on R-Pattz with none other than her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, who was married with two children.

Even 7 years on, the relationship still seems to be on her mind.

In a new interview on The Howard Stern Show, the 29-year-old reveals how the paparazzi ‘deprived’ her of many experiences with Rob.

"We didn't walk down the street holding hands because we were like, 'We don't wanna give it to 'em.' But then, we didn't get to walk down the street holding hands, and it sucked."

She goes onto say that he was definitely her first love, and that "he’s the best".

Howard Stern then grilled her about whether she would have ever married Rob, which she says: "I don’t know."

"I'm not a super duper traditionalist, but at the same time...every relationship I've ever been in, I thought that was it. I've never really been the most casual person."

Can relate. Despite all of this, she admits that falling for someone on a movie set is something she wouldn’t personally endorse, but that she couldn’t really help herself.

It’s good to know Rob still holds a place in her heart, but we’re not betting on a rekindling.

Following her recent split from model Stella Maxwell, Kristen has been romantically linked to screenwriter Dylan Meyer.
