Kristen Stewart debuts striking new strawberry blonde hair
Kristen Stewart is known for switching up her beauty look, whether that's with a statement buzzcut or an icy bleach-blonde pixie cut.
Now, the actress has swapped the shaggy crop she's been wearing for a while for a sleeker new style, unveiling a vibrant new shade of strawberry blonde today.
Stewart was seen arriving for a photocall at the Venice Film Festival wearing her fresh locks swept back into an elegant, side-parted ponytail, harking back to her earlier Twilight days of wearing her hair in a longer, sleeker style - albeit it in a brighter, lighter hue. It’s unknown as to whether the hair makeover is as the result of a role or simply a personal choice.
The 31-year-old kept the rest of her beauty look simple, aside from a sweep of burgundy eyeshadow, like her styling - which consisted of a black Chanel playsuit and heels.
The actress is in Venice to attend the world premiere of her upcoming biopic, Spencer, in which she plays the late Princess Diana.
The film takes place over the course of three days, during which Diana decides to separate from her husband, Prince Charles. The couple separated in 1992 after 11 years of marriage and divorced in 1996.
“Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life,” said Stewart in a statement in January. “It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name: Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her."
Stewart was also spotted wearing her new blonde hair in a relaxed beehive style for a Chanel dinner last night, as documented by her hair stylist Adir Abergel on Instagram.
She attended the celebratory dinner in a white Chanel jacket covered in badges, with tailored trousers.
She's not the only celebrity to switch up her hair colour of late, with Lucy Boynton swapping her platinum blonde hue for a new style with a curtain fringe, in a soft shade of copper.
