Kourtney Kardashian suffers setback on photoshoot three months after birth of Rocky - 'I'm not feeling ready'
Kourtney Kardashian has revealed she didn't feel 'quite ready' for a Kardashians photoshoot while she was still in her post-partum phase.
The 45-year-old, who gave birth to her youngest child, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023, shared some behind-the-scenes snaps from the promo shoot of the TV show on Instagram. In her caption, she candidly expressed her feelings about her body after childbirth, admitting to feeling pressure over the way she looked.
The star, who is also mum to Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, eight, wrote: "I was 3 months postpartum and not feeling quite ready for a big shoot like this where there's lots and lots of people watching me all day. And even though my baby boy was with me all day on set it's not the same when I'm covered in makeup, in high heels and wearing a dress versus our snuggly days at home in pyjamas."
Despite her initial apprehension, Kourtney said she's been focusing on the positives: "But something I've been doing lately is shifting my mindset and thinking of the positives! I am so blessed to be able to bring my baby to work. How fun to get to be glammed up when I've been home for months in pyjamas. How blessed to get to work alongside my sisters and mom...we really have so much fun together! What a beautiful life! ".
Her candid revelations struck a chord with other mothers who've faced similar post-birth experiences. One mum expressed her gratitude, saying: "On behalf of postpartum moms everywhere...thank you."
Another chimed in with praise: "Your body looks amazing esp after a fourth kid only 3 months later!" A third user assured: "I think it's a beautiful reminder of your baby's growing home. You look marvelous!"
Kourtney celebrated turning 45 last month and dazzled fans with her birthday glow, sharing a number of snaps from the birthday celebrations to Instagram.
Celebrating her birthday in the sun, she flaunted her figure in a vibrant bikini and captioned the snap "45 trips around the sun." She also shared moments of herself chilling on a dock in a red tee paired with her bikini bottoms and enjoying a dip in a lavish pool.
While her husband Travis shared a collection of snaps of the TV personality on his Instagram for her special day last Thursday, along with a heartfelt message about their life together.
His tribute read: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife, soulmate and best friend forever. I love you, I love our life together."
