Kitten cowering inches from traffic on busy highway rescued by police

State troopers in Nevada rescued a tiny kitten from a busy highway last week.

In footage shared by Nevada State Police, Trooper Estrada can be seen pulling her car over as she spots the cat, cowering against a wall just inches from the traffic.

She then bravely chases the spooked kitten as it attempts to flee onto the road.

Trooper Estrada is eventually able to pick up the animal and take it to safety.

Footage also shows the terrified kitten hiding in the footwell after the rescue.

Nevada State Police confirmed “Trooper Kitty” was later adopted by a “wonderful” family.
