I Kissed A Girl’s (and queen of boots) Amy Spalding levels up shoe-drobe for summer

If you haven’t been watching (and obsessing over) I Kissed A Girl, trust us when we say you are missing out *big time*. It’s no secret we all love a reality dating show, but as well as serving up plenty of romantic drama and holiday escapism courtesy of the Italian villa – we mean, masseria – IKAG is also our go-to for summer style inspo thanks to the cast of diverse, well-dressed queer women.

No shade to Love Island or Joey Essex, but we’re certainly not missing the absence of white skinny jeans that look like they’ve been sprayed onto each pair of manspread thighs seated around a fire pit.

Instead, we’re being treated to such iconic outfit combinations as chunky biker boots and micro bikinis, jorts and... more boots. The femme, uber-cool stylings of one of the masseria’s standout fashionistas we can’t get enough of belongs to Amy Spalding. The reunion episode (which had us all gagged) saw the entire cast even cosplay as Amy, donning a series of knee-high boots to keep bootsing the masseria down after they’d got back to the real world.

And so, is it any surprise the latest addition to Amy’s shoe wardrobe (or shoe-drobe) is another pair of boots?!

Taking to Instagram, the 24-year-old shared a short clip of herself modelling her new purchase, a pair of Diesel black stiletto-heeled boots. With the camera positioned on her bedroom floor, the video captured only the bottom half of her legs and the boots in question. Hitting just below her knee and featuring a pointed toe as well as mini pockets on the front, she wrote over the video “Who wants to be stepped on 💋”.

The Instagram post follows Amy sharing her unboxing of the boots on TikTok. “It finally happened, I boots-ed too close to the sun,” she said (is that possible?), before taking the boots out of the box and trying them on. Her followers were loving her new boots, taking to the comments section to write:

Amy’s love of boots quickly became a running joke during her time on the show, with one person taking to X to write: “Amy Spalding effect is real because why do I wanna buy knee-high boots its summer”.
