King Charles makes 'significant step' in reconciling with Prince Harry as he 'discusses US visit'

King Charles is reportedly "willing to find a resolution" to the ongoing rift with his son Prince Harry, and there's rumours that he might be planning a heartfelt trip across the pond.

The monarch and his youngest son have had a rocky relationship since Harry stepped back from Royal duties in 2020. Despite the tension, they've made tentative steps towards reconciliation, even sharing a poignant moment together in London earlier this year. Now Royal commentator Tom Quinn has shared that the King is considering a visit to the US to spend time with Harry, Meghan, and their little ones, Archie and Lilibet.

While relationship expert Louella Alderson told The Mirror that this could be a major move towards patching things up. Louella said: "The logistics behind King Charles's making a trip to America, whether it's private or not, and meeting with Harry without may prove difficult. King Charles has many Royal obligations and now health issues as well, so a trip to America in any capacity would likely require careful planning and coordination."

She added that if Charles is ready to go the extra mile and invest the effort to see Harry in the States, it could be a huge sign that he's serious about healing their bond. It seems the King might be more open than ever to tackling their issues head-on and working towards peace, reports the Mirror.

However, she confessed that the visit might not go as planned. Louella shared: "While it may show a willingness on the King's part to try and reconcile their relationship, it ultimately depends on both parties being open to communication and willing to start working through any issues that have caused tension between them."

The expert further stated: "Ultimately, the success of this trip and potential reconciliation between King Charles and Harry will depend on both parties being open and committed to resolving their differences.

"It may take time for their relationship to fully heal after the events of recent years, but every effort made towards reconciliation is a positive step."

Her remarks follow Tom Quinn's previous statement to The Mirror: "Charles has had discussions about an official visit to the United States at some time in the future, and there is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren, but there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility."

He added: "King Charles has privately visited many other countries he made an unpublicised visit to Transylvania for example to check up on his rental properties so it's certainly possible that he would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California.

"He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lily will not remember him as the warm friendly grandfather he wants to be."
