King Charles III's Bentleys to go more green next year

The two state Bentleys used by the King will be converted to operate on biofuel within the next year as part of a broader effort to promote sustainability. In the longer term, there are plans to transition to a fleet of official electric vehicles. The Royal Household's annual accounts, released on Wednesday, highlighted a series of new, environmentally friendly initiatives. The monarchy's operational costs, funded by taxpayers, amounted to £86.3 million for the 2023-24 fiscal year, the same as the previous year. This funding, known as the "Sovereign Grant," covers various expenses, including official engagements and maintenance of residences.
