Kim Kardashian's Fall Out Boy Music Video Appearance Is Blowing Fans' Minds
Kim Kardashian might be best known for her Keeping Up With The Kardashians television show, KKW Beauty and SKIMS, but little did we know she once starred in an indie band's music video.
Before KUWTK's release in late 2007, the 41-year-old featured in Noughties band Fallout Boy's music video for their song 'Thnks Fr Th Mmrs'.
In the 2007 video, Kardashian can be seen leaning in to give band member Pete Wentz a kiss, while dressed in a lingerie-like embellished look.
While the video was shared to YouTube almost 15 years ago, the star's fans have only just noticed the woman flirting in the video with the band's bassist is in fact Kardashian.
'I will absolutely never get over the fact that Kim K is in this [sic],' read one comment under the video.
Another fan wrote: 'I am high right now but is me or does this girl in video look like Kim Kardashian, I mean I have seen this video countless time, I must be tripping [sic].'
Bringing up Kardashian's mum, Kris Jenner, who's known for managing the reality star's career, not to mention those of her siblings, Kourtney, Khloé, Rob, Kendall and Kylie, one person remarked: 'Kris Jenner really hustled back then. [sic]'
Echoing the other commenters, a fan wrote: 'I will absolutely never get over the fact kim k is in this [sic].'
As for what happens in the video, Kardashian and Wentz's kiss is interrupted by a director, to the frustration of Wentz, before the pair eventually end up continuing their PDA.
Kardashian then watches the entire band, which includes Patrick Stump, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley perform, while sat next to the director.
Of her experience shooting the music video, the People's Choice award-winner, who's now rumoured to be dating Pete Davidson amid divorce proceedings with her estranged husband Kanye West, Kardashian previously told Danbury News Times: 'I’m a fan of Fall Out Boy and I agreed to do it, and it was so much fun working with them.
'I think music videos kind of all show the same thing. They kind of want a hot girl and cool cars. This one was totally different.'
She also recalled a particular moment when monkeys were involved in the video: 'I remember my first scene, I had to sit there and watch the boys perform and I had all the monkeys sitting next to me. It was so scary because the trainer was saying, "Don't call them by their name. Don't look at them in the eye".
'Basically freaking you out like "Don't move".'
Wentz also reflected on working with Kardashian during his Loud And Sad radio show, saying: 'I remember we had Kim Kardashian in the video for this song.
'It’s just so interesting when you look back on that moment and you’re like, "This is the last moment Fall Out Boy interacted in public with Kim Kardashian where we had the same amount of fame as her". It’s funny when you look back at this stuff.
'Thanks for the memories, Kim.'
Now we can look forward to seeing Kardashian on our screens more, what with the upcoming release of her new family reality show The Kardashians.
As the show's teaser trailer signals, it's time for new beginnings.
