Kim Kardashian West has shared a photograph taken shortly after she discovered she was pregnant with her first child, saying she was “freaking out” at the time.

On Monday 8 June, Kanye West celebrated his 43rd birthday.

To mark the occasion on social media, Kardashian West shared several photographs of herself and her husband of six years on Instagram, both on her feed and on her Story.

The first picture the reality television star shared on her Instagram Story shows her and West sitting in a restaurant, the rapper beaming at the camera.

Sharing the image for a second time on her Story, Kardashian West revealed it was taken not long after she found out she was pregnant for the first time.

“Fun fact about this pic. I just found out I was pregnant with North and made Kanye fly to London for my Kardashian Kollection appearance [because] I was freaking out!” she wrote.

“He took me out to Hakkasan and then to Häagen-Dazs to make me feel better,” she added.

The celebrity couple have four children together: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

Their eldest child, six-year-old North, was born in June 2013, four months before they announced their engagement.

In another post shared on her Instagram Story for West’s birthday, Kardashian West thanked her husband for always being himself.

“Thank you for always being you and never letting the world change who you are! Life wouldn’t be the same without you!” she said.

In the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, US, Kardashian West spoke out about the “systemic racism” within the country.

The entrepreneur said she felt “infuriated” and “disgusted” by Mr Floyd’s death, stating: “I am exhausted by the heartbreak I feel seeing mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children suffering because their loved one was murdered or locked away unjustly for being black.”
