Kim Kardashian could be mistaken for Gen Z in latest throwback pics
Kim Kardashian loves a good ol' fashioned family throwback snap and, to be honest, same. From her high school prom to first ever photoshoot, there's no shortage of nostalgia in the Kardashian family's photo albums. Her latest retro photo dump, though, is on a whole other level of amazing, with Kim's outfit oozing major Gen Z vibes - let me explain.
To celebrate National Daughters Day, Kim to Instagram to share pics from an at-home photoshoot she had with Kourtney when the pair were grounded after Kourtney was caught "stealing [Kris Jenner's] car just to drive it around the block". Lol.
In the snaps, Kim wears a pair of suuuuper slouchy low-rise boyfriend jeans, coupled with chunky trainers, a white t-shirt and choker necklace. With the whole '90s/Y2K revival happening right now, I can totally imagine seeing this outfit being worn by Gen Zs today.
Beauty-wise, Kim's rocking an oh-so-'90s lip, half-up hairdo complete with long, face-framing bangs. From the retro trends coming back into fashion to the 'stuck at home' vibe of posing up a storm in your garage, this shoot could legit be from earlier this year, don't ya think?
"I saw it was National Daughters Day so this post goes out to my mom and my daughters for when they are teenagers lol" writes Kim.
"North and Chi please be easy on me when you’re the age I was in theses pics 🙏🏼 and Mom- I’m sorry! I remember being grounded here for Kourtney stealing your car just to drive it around the block and some how even though I didn’t participate I still got in trouble! So we had nothing else to do but do photo shoots in the garage. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️. It was never me, I just listened to what my older sister said and friends. They were such bad influences and I was perfect and for that I’m sorry!"
Momager Kris - who probs remembers the era just as well as Kim - took to the comment section to share her memory of Kim and Kourtney as teenagers: "Oh the good ‘ol days!!!! Thank the Lord we survived that stage!!!!!! 😵💫"
Hair royalty and Kardashian pal, Jen Atkin, also loved the pics, commenting on how amazing Kim's strands look, writing: "HAIR GOALSSSSS"
Damn, I wish my at-home photoshoots from back in the day aged this well. Alas!
