Looking for things to do with your kids to keep them entertained this summer? You can turn to queen of crafting Sara Davies for brilliant ideas.

Sara's craft projects, including friendship bracelets made with yarn and cardboard as well as recycled water guns created using old water bottles, were already perfect to keep your kids busy but her latest idea will encourage them to play outside for hours.

In a video shared on her Instagram, the Dragon's Den star talked parents through how to create their own DIY scavenger hunt game – and it's super easy to make.

Sara drew some simple designs inspired by nature – including a tree, a flower and a ladybug – onto nine small wooden tokens. She encouraged adults to put them in a small hessian bag along with a list, so that children can look for the items.

In the accompanying caption, Sara wrote: "So seeing as though we (finally) look like we’re in for a bit of better weather, I’ve got the perfect excuse to get the kids outside! This DIY scavenger hunt game is an absolute must and it couldn’t be easier to make – plus it’s a bit of a two-in-one craft because you can enlist your little ones to help you make the scavenger tokens."

"This has kept the kids busy and they’ve absolutely loved looking for all of the different things and collecting each of the little tokens. And, you could always change it up and add some other things to look for depending on where you are."
