Khloe Kardashian forced to miss annual Christmas party over health fears
Every year, the Kardashians host a massive and glitzy Christmas Eve party with all their family and A-list pals. But this year, Khloe Kardashian and her two little ones had to skip it. The annual bash is a family tradition that started in 1987 when Kris Jenner first hosted it, and it's grown from just being a family affair to include friends and other big celeb names.
In recent years, Kris' daughters, Kim and Kourtney have taken turns hosting the do. However, this year, Khloe and her kids, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, who she co-parents with ex Tristan Thompson, couldn't make it because they were unwell.
Khloe shared on Instagram that she wouldn't be at the party, writing: "Tatum was sick the entire weekend, now my TuTu is sick.'For the first time in a long, long time, we will miss Christmas Eve. I feel so terrible for my sick littles."

Khloe also said: "No fun, but I pray we are fine for Santa tomorrow!!!". Kim, who hosted last year's party, previously revealed that the 2024 bash wouldn't be as grand as previous ones. Chatting to Vogue, Kim explained: "Just because we have a lot of construction going on, so we're doing a really intimate family one that I'm really excited about."
But having building work at the house won't stop the family from getting all dolled up. Kim added that the family would still be ‘dressing up to the nines’ because ‘that’s what we do’.
Last year, the festive spirit was in full swing at Kim's home, where she created a winter wonderland complete with both real and faux snow adorning her garden's tiny evergreen trees. A quaint ski lodge popped up as the party's hub, teeming with festivities like a candy shop, a ball pit, a build-your-own stuffed animal station, a bar serving beignets, hot dogs on sticks, and of course, drinks for the merry.
Sledding was a highlight of the evening, as Kim aimed to sprinkle some 'holiday magic'. It's becoming quite the social highlight, with Kim, mom to North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, six, and five year old Psalm with former hubby Kanye West, mentioning that their friends are beginning to hanker for invites to this enchanting event. Kim shared, "They're just beginning. Our kids love them and now all their friends want to come. It's such a fun tradition."
Kourtney, in a chat with Poosh, reminisced about how this Christmas Eve bash is a longstanding family tradition dating back to her earliest memories. She finds joy in watching each of the sisters breathe new life into the celebration with their own unique touches every year.
