Kerry Katona's heartbreak as she shares update on mum's health - admitting 'it's hard for me to see'
When it comes to health battles, it's not been an easy time for Kerry Katona and her family. Just three months ago the mum-of-five revealed she had a terrifying cancer shock that forced her to make arrangements for her children. She said that her biological dad died at 63 due to gullet cancer, her mum was 30 when she got cancer and her grandma also had breast cancer, which "put things into perspective".
Now, in her exclusive column, Kerry spoke about her mum's health that is heartbreakingly "declining". She wrote: "I’ve not had the best time this week, it has been tough. Last week I was feeling really triggered because of the Liam Payne news and how similar it was to my late husband George’s death. And this week my mum hasn’t been well, her health is really declining and it is worrying for me. It’s hard to see.
Kerry continued: "Ryan and I have been arguing like cat and dog too so we’ve not had the best time. We’re not in a great place at the moment. I do like to be honest when things are like this, though, because no one is perfect and everyone has their issues. I’d much rather be real about it."

Although Kerry hasn't disclosed details about her mum's heath, in 2022 she admitted her mum had a heart attack and it was a "massive wake-up call" for them both. The 44 year old previously revealed Sue had been taken to hospital following a health scare. Writing in her weekly column at the time, Kerry has reassured fans her mum is on the mend, but says she's determined to help improve her lifestyle.
She wrote: "As you may have heard, my mum Sue sadly suffered a heart attack. Thankfully she’s on the mend and I’m at her place looking after her. My mum isn’t in the greatest of health and this has been a massive wake-up call for us. DJ is only eight, and she wants to spend more time with her nan.
"Mum was told her vessels were blocked due to her unhealthy lifestyle. When something like this happens, you have to make changes and focus on your health. I’m super proud of her because she hasn’t had a cigarette in seven days. She hasn’t had an alcoholic drink either. If you knew my mum, you’d know that is a huge achievement. I’ve always said it’s not a matter of if my mum has a heart attack, it’s a matter of when."
