Kerry Katona's emotional reunion following split heartache - 'I cried my eyes out'
Kerry Katona was left lost for words when her middle daughter, Lilly-Sue, surprised her by returning home from Ireland - where she is currently living - unannounced. Admitting she 'cried her eyes out' to be reunited with her daughter, Kerry was clearly happy to have her brood back together.
It comes after her split from fiancé and partner of six years Ryan Mahoney last year, which left Kerry feeling heartbroken and 'lonely' as she faced Christmas without the fitness trainer. But now, the former singer is thriving as she gets back to single life following the split and is enjoying some quality time with her children.
Here, Kerry, 44, takes to her weekly column to detail the sweet surprise from Lilly, shares her thoughts on Molly-Mae Hague's new Prime documentary and sends her love to Pauline Quirke following her dementia diagnosis.

Flying The Nest
Last week, Lilly surprised me by visiting from Ireland, which was amazing! I cried my eyes out, I really wasn’t expecting it. We went out for an early birthday meal, as she turns 22 later this week, but will be back in Ireland by then. She’s coming home again next month for Heidi’s 18th birthday, which we will all celebrate together. I can’t believe Heidi is going to be 18, it’s crazy. I hope she’ll become more independent – I’m trying to make it clear that at 18 she needs to be making her own money and won’t be my responsibility. I love my kids so much and have given them everything, I just want them to be able to stand on their own two feet. I sometimes think about moving down South, closer to Katie, since my friends and work are all there and I thought my kids would be flying the nest this year, but I think I’ll be staying here a while!
Go on, Molly-Mae
I watched Molly-Mae Hague’s new Amazon Prime documentary, Behind It All , and I thought it was amazing. Heidi was the one who convinced me to watch it, she kept telling me it was making her cry and I should watch! I did get really emotional because I know what it’s like for Molly. I think it’s great to see behind the scenes and what’s really been going on, it can’t have been an easy six months for her. It reminds people that she is a real person and is human. It was Molly’s chance to tell her side of the story.
Sending Love To Pauline
I was really sad to hear about Pauline Quirke being diagnosed with dementia. It’s an awful disease and I feel for Pauline and her family. I don’t know her, but I have been friends with Linda Robson, her Birds Of A Feather co-star, for years. I’ve been hearing about lots of people getting dementia lately and it reminds me how short life is and how you never know what’s around the corner. We need to treasure every moment.
An awful crime
Last week I was keeping up with Axel Rudabukana's trial, where he admitted to murdering three young girls in Southport at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. It was just awful to watch all the reports on the trial, I even had to turn the TV volume down because all that was running through my head was, 'That could have been DJ'. It's so scary and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by the awful crime. I'm glad justice is finally being served.
Hooked on Love Island
I’ve been watching Love Island: All Stars and really loving it, I don’t usually watch it, but I’ve got into it this time round. I think Ekin-Su and Curtis make a really good couple,I can see them lasting. I like Gabby and Casey, too, they’re really cute and hopefully it works out. Although, knowing Love Island , by the time you read this, the couples could have changed completely!
