Kendall Jenner is focused on her joy and her wellness. Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar for her September cover story, the supermodel opens up about her therapy journey, and how working on her mental health has changed her life for the better.

“I feel really balanced right now,” she says. “I started my therapy journey a year and a half ago. I meet with my therapist once a week, so every week I’m learning something new. I’m constantly evolving and just excited to do that.”

As part of one of the most publicized families in the world, Jenner has known fame since she was a little girl, and her celebrity status has only increased since. The 27-year-old runs her own tequila brand, 818, remains a regular presence on her family’s Hulu reality show, The Kardashians (a reboot of their cult-classic E! series Keeping Up With the Kardashians), and has become one of the most sought-after models in the world.

“It’s not always the easiest industry to be in,” she tells Bazaar of the modeling business. “It can be really cutthroat and intense sometimes.”

Over the years, however, Jenner—who has previously talked about dealing with anxiety and hypochondria—has worked to find a balance between her career and her much-needed downtime.

Her mom, Kris Jenner, says seeking balance and placing necessary boundaries are some of the model’s biggest strengths. “She’s always been very definite about who she was. Her superpower is knowing when it’s too much or when it’s not enough,” the momager says.
