Kelsey Parker fans congratulate star after 'truly special' home birth
Fans have congratulated Kesley Parker after she shared the happy news that one of her close friends had given birth to a little baby girl. 34-year-old Kesley, who recently opened up about grieving her late husband Tom Parker, took to Instagram to make the exciting announcement and revealed that she’d been fortunate enough to witness her friend welcome her newborn baby daughter into the world.
In a heartwarming Instagram post, mum-of-two Kesley shared a snap of herself cradling the little one as she gushed over the new arrival, calling her birth a “truly special day”.
“Welcome to the world, baby Delilah Lucy Blake, born on April 17, 2024, weighing 7.4lbs! Yesterday was a truly special day of witnessing my best friend Rosie’s home birth,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, she also paid tribute to Tom, who sadly died in 2022 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, and went on to reveal the “signs” that The Wanted singer had given her following baby Delilah’s birth.
“Watching Delilah enter the world was a blessing, especially after witnessing Tommy’s birth, and now seeing his sister being born was the cherry on top of the cake! It’s incredible how Tom continues to show us signs.... 7 being our special number and his birthday falling on the 4th. Truly amazing! Welcome to the world Delilah. You are already so loved,” she added.
In response, Kelsey’s followers were quick to congratulate her on the happy news as they sent their well wishers her way.
“Congratulations she’s stunning and what a beautiful experience for you xx,” wrote one Instagram user.
“Love this so much! Congratulations xx we share a birthday baby Delilah! All the best people are born on 17th April xx,” another added.
“Awwwww congratulations lovely xx,” said a third, while another simply said: “Oh huge congrats”.
The exciting announcement comes after Kelsey spoke to OK! about the second anniversary of her husband Tom’s passing while at the Together For Short Lives Ball last month.
“Grief’s a funny thing, isn’t it?” she said. “Living grief and going through it… For me, I am the preacher of, ‘You’ve got to live for each day and take each day as it comes.’ But I think when I hit March, I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’ and I can’t believe it’s actually been two years since I lost Tom.”
She added: “You know, the end of this month will be two years and within the time frame people go, ‘Oh, how does that feel for you?’ But for me it feels ages since I've last seen him, but then only yesterday that it happened.”
