Kelly Clarkson Brightens Up The Holidays With Under The Tree Performance

Kelly Clarkson took on the daunting task of writing an original holiday song this season and she knocks it out of the park in her NBC Christmas special, Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Tale.

A sneak preview from the special shows Kelly singing her new single and some behind the scenes footage of the event. Guest performer Blake Shelton even appears dressed in a big elf costume.

Kelly will have audiences singing along with her new holiday hit, Under The Tree. (Mr. Blue/WENN)

Kelly invites some of country music biggest stars, Blake, Trisha Yearwood and Reba to help her ring in the holidays. The special also will feature appearances by Robin Williams (Kelly recently guest-starred on his show The Crazy Ones), Whoopi Goldberg and William Shatner.

We know Mr. Shatner can sing. Perhaps he and Kelly will be sharing in a Christmas duet.

The Catch My Breath singer looks to be having a ball while making her holiday special, getting dolled up, laughing with her crew and messing around with her guest performers.

Under The Tree is featured on Kelly’s new holiday album Wrapped In Red. The album alternates between classic Christmas covers, like White Christmas and Silent Night, and more of Kelly’s original holiday tunes.

Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Tale airs on Dec. 11 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
