Kellogg's Just Recalled 10,000 Cases Of Eggo Waffles

From Delish

It's not the best news to hear after weekend brunch that America's most popular frozen waffle is being recalled in 25 states. According to an announcement direct from the Kellogg Company, Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat waffles have been voluntarily recalled for a possible listeria contamination.

The recall applies to 12.3-ounce boxes (10-count) of the whole-wheat waffles that contain the UPC code 38000 40370 and the "best by" date of November 21, 2017 and November 22, 2017. Luckily, no other Eggo waffle or pancake products were impacted by the recall. But if you've purchased the Nutri-Grain waffle, you should check your freezer as soon as possible because the product was shipped to 25 states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

And believe us, you definitely don't want to risk it. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria monocytogenes can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women-and it can be even more problematic for young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems, causing serious and sometimes fatal infections.
