Keira Knightley Admits Her Recycled Wedding Dress Is Covered In Red Wine Stains
Stunning actress and all round fashionista, Keira Knightley has confessed that her gorgeous Chanel wedding dress is now 'destroyed' after it encountered a glass of red wine at a party.
Keira Knightley raised a few eyebrows after she was spotted getting married in a dress she'd already worn on the red carpet. In a very refreshing turn, the Pride and Prejudice actress opted to recycle one of her gowns for her special day and has even been seen wearing it since then.
We can sort of understand, with a piece of Chanel couture, you would want to get the best cost-per-wear out of your garment. Well, unless Keira has a great dry cleaners, she might never be abe to wear it again after she confessed that her wedding dress is covered in red wine.

In an interview with The Telegraph, the 28-year-old revealed the reasoning behind her wedding day dress decision: "Karl [Lagerfeld, the creative director at Chanel] very kindly designed me a jacket to go with it. I'd worn the dress lots. It was my something old. And I liked not making a big deal about it. I just wanted to be in something I had had a great time in, something I would have a great time in again.”
Before revealing that the pretty gown is no longer just white: "It's now got red wine spilled down the front because the last time I wore it my friend [jutted her arms out]” she said.

"And now it's everywhere. I didn't quite realise the extent of it until I got home. It's quite impressively splattered. But, hey, a good night is a good night and when a dress has had its time, maybe it's had its time. I'm pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can't, I'm happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed."
So if the designer dress survives this latest trial, will Keira pass it on to her future (and hypothetical) daughter? It doesn't sound like it.
"I don't know," Keira explained. "I'm not sure I'm into that. Can you imagine, say, your daughter is a different shape or she doesn't like it, and all of a sudden you're giving her pressure of wearing your dress?"
