Keep snug with these knitted wrist warmers
During this winter, get ready to stay cosy with our free wrist warmers knitting pattern.
Wrist warmers are the ideal accessory for the winter season, and then when it gets a little bit warmer, with a chill in the evenings but it’s not cold enough to wear gloves. They're quick and easy to knit, too.
These wrist warmers are the perfect free knitting pattern for beginners who are keen to make a practical knit they can wear straight away. Once you’ve mastered the basic technique to make the ridge design, which you’ll do in the first six rows, it's simply a matter of repeating rows to create the 3D knitted pattern all over.
They're also a great way to use up any yarn leftover from other projects – you only need 100g of yarn in total (we've used two balls of 50g yarn).
You don’t need to stick to this denim blue colour either, choose a yarn that you love in merino DK and personalise the knitting pattern to your style and wardrobe.
As this is a one-size pattern, it’s a great one to bookmark for handmade gifts.
Another handy aspect of making wrist warmers is that having your fingers free allows you more movement which is great if you’re out and about taking photos on an autumn walk, or if you simply want to enjoy a soothing hot drink without having to take your gloves off.
