Katy Perry Just Debuted The Shortest 'Rough Cut' Micro Bangs Hairstyle
Earlier this month (read: just 15 days ago), Katy Perry debuted a choppy fringe hairstyle on her Instagram, cc. American Idol. But now, just over two weeks later, the singer has cut more from her lengths, getting an extra short micro-fringe. One got scissor happy, perhaps?
As with chocolate, tattoos and piercings (aka, all the good things in life), haircuts can be addictive – once you start, you can't help but go back for more. Well, that is in mine and Katy's case anyway... And the star's recent cut proves just that.
Katy's fringe, which is reminiscent of the oh-so-popular Fifties-era look, sits an inch or two above her eyebrows and has been cut with a jagged, rough finish to the ends. And not only that but to add a certain je ne sais quoi to the final look, the body of her locks has been piled up into a sleek bun with a tassel-like end.
She really has thrown her hat hair into the teeny-tiny fringe ring among Lily Collins, Florence Pugh and Ashley Graham's locks.
Now, like always, we must disclose the obvious – as much as we'd love to believe that Katy has gone the full nine yards with this chop, we must speculate in saying that it is most likely a clip-in hair extension piece. I mean, with such a demanding job comes equally demanding beauty changes.
Regardless of whether her mini bangs are temporary or not, we've got to give credit where credit is due, as this look is pure fire. Peter Lux, the genius behind said look, you've done it once again.
