Katie Price flogging video messages after being declared bankrupt for second time
Katie Price has launched her latest money-making scheme after being declared bankrupt for a second time. The ex-glamour model is selling video messages to fans for a hefty price in a bid to make more cash.
Katie, 45, announced she's joined Cameo, a platform which enables fans to get in contact with their celebrity idols and pay for messages, videos and more. She shared a snap from her profile and told fans on Instagram: "Book a personal video message from me on Cameo."
A personalised message from the mum-of-five will set you back by a staggering £120. She describes herself as a "model, author, podcaster" on her profile.
"Katie Price is an English model, author, and podcaster known for I'm a Celebrity...Get me out of Here!, Celebrity Big Brother, and her glamour modelling work," her bio reads.
Fans can pick from a selection of messages including Mother's Day greetings and birthday videos. There's even an option for a 'roast' from Katie, with all options costing £120.
Katie's latest venture comes after she announced she is releasing a new autobiography, This Is Me, in July to celebrate 30 years in the spotlight. She has also announced she's taking her podcast, The Katie Price Show, on tour across the UK.
The glamour model was declared bankrupt for a second time in March, with it being revealed she owes around £760,000 to HM Revenue and Customs. She previously declared bankrupt in November 2019, having racked up debts of £3.2 million.
At a short hearing at London’s Rolls Building, Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Sebastian Prentis said Ms Price had not responded to HMRC over the debt and declared her bankrupt.
He said: “There has been no response from the debtor. The papers are in order. There is substantial debt due from Ms Price to HMRC and therefore I will make a bankruptcy order.”
Judge Prentis said that the bill “derives from self-assessments from the year 2020-2021 and from the year 2021-22” and includes income tax, VAT, surcharges and interest. HMRC had issued a bankruptcy petition in October 2023.
According to The Sun, Katie was due to appear in court again on Friday, 26 April but missed the hearing. She opted to jet off to Cyprus with new boyfriend JJ Slater instead.
The publication reports that Judge Mark Mullen was told Katie's assistant had sent an email stating the model and TV personality couldn't attend the hearing due to anxiety and depression.
