Kathryn Newton Looks Just Like Elle Woods In Her Barbiecore Beauty Tutorial
Watching Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton talk through her '5 In 5' you'd be forgiven for thinking you've stepped into the fictional bathroom of Elle Woods. Think Barbie emblazoned towels, pink glitter barrettes, hair rollers and there's even a delightfully fluffy dog, although Newton's is called Ladybird, not Bruiser. In actual fact, we're in the Big Little Lies actor's own bathroom for ELLE UK's latest episode and we're feeling the Legally Blonde realness. 'I'm feeling very Barbie right now.'
Aesthetic aside, the 26-year-old's beauty routine is surprisingly down to earth. 'What I've already done is I blew out the top of my hair and I put these little rollers in,' Newton says, referring to her relatable DIY hair styling tricks. 'I always travel with two or three of them because sometimes I don't have a heat tool and these really help to set my hair and make it smooth.' Forget two hour-long A-list manicures, it's all about speed for this celebrity. 'I did my nails this morning, one coat I'm done.'
And the same goes for Newton's refreshingly speedy make-up routine. 'I go really fast when I do my make-up, I don't like spending a lot of time doing it. On set, I don't know what it is about me but they just decided I'm two hours in the hair and make-up trailer and I don't get it. I really don't get it. I'm not even in prosthetics guys.'
Super speedy skincare and make-up routine done, it's time to complete the full Barbie fantasy. 'Last but not least, we've got to take the curlers out. Oh yeah, love. See that volume? You can't get that with an iron.'
