Kate's gold chain necklace is surprisingly affordable
The Princess of Wales has become known for her championing of affordable jewellery brands, but the piece she wore for her latest royal visit is one of our favourites yet.
Kate stepped out in West Yorkshire yesterday (26 September) wearing a chic forest green Burberry suit, which she'd styled with a chunky gold chain necklace and gold hoop earrings embellished with freshwater pearls.
She's been seen in the earrings before – they're Shyla London's 'Rosalia' style, £68 and currently sold out – but the necklace stole the show. It's believed to be from New York jewellery label Laura Lombardi, and we think it'd be perfect for teaming with just about every outfit in our wardrobe.
The ideal 'cool girl' accessory, the gold-plated 'Portrait' necklace feels much more modern than the statement heirlooms that the Royal Family usually favour. It's a minimalist piece that we can actually see ourselves wearing every day to bring some contemporary edge to our looks.
