This audience was nearly duped by a doppelgänger.

A Kate Moss lookalike strutted down the runway at the Marine Serre Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show during Paris Fashion Week, deceiving everyone into thinking it was the real Kate Moss.

Denise Ohnona — a well-known Moss doppelgänger who uses the social media handle @iamnotkatemoss — was tapped for a surprise runway appearance at the show.

Ohnnoa, dubbed the world’s number one Kate Moss lookalike, wore skinny leather pants, an oversized white button-down shirt and a leather jacket — which seemed to be a nod to Moss’ signature style since the ’90s.

It wouldn’t have been completely out-of-pocket for the 50-year-old British model to be at the Fashion Week show, especially considering the eco-friendly fashion brand also nabbed Winnie Harlow to walk the runway, and A-list guests such as Kelly Rutherford were seated in the front row.

Hello! Fashion’s editor Natalie Salmon, who was in the audience, said that “a round of gasps could be heard even over the electronic overtures of Marine Serre’s futuristic supermarket as ‘Kate Moss’ swayed down the catwalk.”

“However upon leaving I did think it was interesting that they didn’t have ‘Moss’ open or close the show,” Salmon admitted.

But this wasn’t the first time Ohnona, originally from Ormskirk, Lancashire, had the public fooled by her identity.

In December 2023, as stars were traveling to Manchester for Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art show, fans thought they spotted Moss shopping at grocery chain Aldi — but it was actually Ohnona.

As her Instagram handle suggests, Ohnona doesn’t shy away from her uncanny resemblance to the modeling icon, she embraces it.

“When I first started to get papped, I used to get very shy and felt like a fraud became I am a Fake Moss,” she told the Daily Mail in 2019. “But then as time went on I started to enjoy it and now find it very flattering – who wouldn’t want to get mistaken for Kate Moss? She’s one of the most incredibly iconic women ever!”

“When people see me they get very excited, and when I tell them I am not really Kate Moss they love it anyway and still want selfies. But some people never ask me straight out if I am Kate Moss — they usually point and whisper to each other ‘that’s Kate Moss,'” she added.

“I am super proud that I have finally got over my shyness and lack of confidence — and getting snapped by photographers and stopped by fans has helped this massively.”

Ohnona also recently told The Times UK that she actually doesn’t consider herself to be a model at all, let alone not at the level of Kate Moss.

“That’s huge shoes to fill,” she said. “Kate’s the world’s most iconic supermodel. It’s not that I think I’m anything like her — not in a million years.”
