Kate Middleton and Prince William Coordinated With Their Kids for Christmas Day Walk
Forget matching pajamas, this is how family holiday dressing is done.
Christmas day isn't complete until the Wales family has made their annual walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church on the merry morning. And on Wednesday, December 25, Kate Middleton, Prince William, and their kids officially touched down on the Sandringham path to greet droves of well-wishers along with the rest of the royal family. While you may have already unwrapped all of your gifts under your tree, the royal family has one more present in store for the world: their adorable color-coordinated ensembles, which included complementary shades of blue and green.
Move over matching plaid pajamas, because Princess Kate, Prince William, and their three kids are here to show how festive family dressing is really done. The Princess of Wales led the pack in a country chic look, re-wearing a forest green Alexander McQueen coat that she previously sported during a January 2023 trip to Leeds. She paired the statement piece with a matching Gina Foster fascinator (which she wore for her Christmas Day appearance in 2013), black gloves, black boots, and a tartan scarf with a green and blue plaid pattern. Holding a black purse as she walked to the church with her family, Kate wore her brunette hair down in a blowout style and kept with her signature elegant beauty look. A pair of blue topaz and diamond earrings from Robinson Pelham added some extra sparkle to her Christmas Day look.
It was a true like-mother-like-daughter moment between Kate and Princess Charlotte, 9, who wore a navy blue plaid coat with a similar pattern and the same colors as Kate's scarf.
Meanwhile, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6, looked like their dad's mini-mes in navy blue suits, with the Wales' eldest child opting for a green plaid tie. The heir looked dapper in his own blue suit and tie, letting his wife take center stage at this year's walk.
Also present at the yearly royal Christmas tradition was King Charles and Queen Camilla, who matched with Kate in her own dark green midi-length coat paired with a feathered green cap. The family put on a united front and enjoyed each other's company after a long and difficult year, which saw both Kate and Charles battle cancer diagnoses.
As a silver lining, Kate's health struggles have given her a new outlook on life, one that makes family time the utmost priority. Earlier this month, she felt the love and support at her annual "Together at Christmas" carol service at Westminster Abbey. She, her hubby, and their kiddos went matchy-matchy again as they held candles and sang along to classic Christmas tunes.
Kate wore a cheery red Alexander McQueen coat dress adorned with a huge black velvet bow. Charlotte took cues from her mom again in her own red coat dress and black bow in her hair. The men of the family each wore a black suit, white button down shirt, and red tie.
