Kate Middleton Makes Surprising Reveal That She's "Archived" All Her Kids' Clothes
Kate Middleton spent some time in Wales this week (she is "The Princess of Wales," after all) and visited a Welsh clothing manufacturer called Corgi that specializes in handmade knitwear, as well as socks (we'll get to that in a moment because Kate tried to make a pair).
Kate—who showed up in a Zara dress that she's worn several times before—was given a tour of the factory, and casually revealed that she has "archived" all of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis' clothing, since the pieces "wore really well." She added that, "it's so lovely to reuse the things that are well made."
It's actually not that surprising that Kate is archiving her children's clothing considering that the royals love to preserve their own sartorial history. Just the other day, the official Historic Royal Palaces account posted a reel featuring matching dresses Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret wore when they were children, which have clearly been preserved for years:
Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton dressed their kids in old clothes of William's when they were babies, making it clear his and Prince Harry's closets were also archived.
Here's Prince Louis wearing his uncle's baby outfit at his first Trooping the Colour:
And here's Prince George wearing a cute little powder blue outfit that once belonged to his dad, also at Trooping the Colour.
And finally, here's Kate Middleton attempting to make a pair of socks on the factory floor!
