Kate Middleton Just Posted The Sweetest Tribute To Prince William On His Birthday

Birthday wishes are in order for Prince William, who turns 42 today, and who was honoured by Kate Middleton and the couple's three children in a heartwarming post shared to X.

In the post, which also featured a picture of Prince William and his three children, Kate wrote: 'Happy Birthday Papa, we all love you so much! Cx'.

The photograph, which was taken by the Princess of Wales, is believed to have been taken in Norfolk last month and shows William jumping in the air, holding hands with his three children.

It's not the only social media tribute that the heir to the throne received on his birthday. Buckingham Palace shared a photograph from 1983 of King Charles with the prince as a baby on his lap, which was taken at Kensington Palace. The post was accompanied by the message: 'Happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales!'

The post comes after Kate fleetingly made her return to public duties at Trooping the Colour last weekend with William and their three children. But in a personal message to the nation, the princess, who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy, revealed although she is making good progress, she is 'not out of the woods yet'.

Kate told in an Instagram post how she has good days and bad days and is facing a few more months of cancer treatment. She received the shock diagnosis after she underwent 'major abdominal surgery' in January at the London Clinic.

'I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty,' she shared. 'Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.'
