Kate Ferdinand has opened up about feeling "nervous" at baby scans six months into her pregnancy after suffering a miscarriage last year.

The TV star, 31, is currently carrying her second child, a daughter, with former footballer husband Rio Ferdinand.

She told The Sun On Sunday's Fabulous magazine: "I’m not someone who loves being pregnant."

She added: "After having a miscarriage, I think that’s why I’ve enjoyed this third pregnancy more.

She is also stepmother to his three children – Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and 11-year-old Tia – from his previous marriage to Rebecca Ellison, who passed away from breast cancer in 2015.

During the clip, shot for the latest episode of her podcast Blended, she revealed that she had decided to "be brave" in order to raise awareness.

In a post on Instagram, she wrote: "I've spoke lots over the years about my pigmentation and not feeling confident without make-up. Being pregnant and recently being on holiday means the pigmentation is a little worse at the minute.

"But I thought sod it I'm going to be brave (and this feels brave for me) and go make-up free for this mini episode."
