Kate Beckinsale is 50. The English actor, best known for her roles in Pearl Harbour and the Underworld franchise, celebrated this milestone on 26 July.
The London-born star has been living in LA for the better part of two decades, which means she's attended plenty of red carpet events during her time.

Never one to shy away from a trend, Beckinsale has embraced some of the top sartorial statements of the past decade, including embellishments, thigh-high splits and naked dresses.
But what's never really changed is her love of a figure-hugging gown; a silhouette she's donned on almost every red carpet she's walked.

An early adopter of the cut out dress trend, Beckinsale wore this white Kaufmanfranco gown with a plunging neckline, cut out sides and a low dip back in 2014.

At the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Beckinsale wore the naked dress before the naked dress was even a thing. The embellished Zuhair Murad was sheer from the bust down, putting her toned stomach and legs on full display.

Beckinsale's red Julien Macdonald gown was half bodysuit, half dress, with a plunging neckline, spaghetti straps, a cut out waist and thigh-high spilt on one side, and draping fabric on the other.

For the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Beckinsale wore a black angular Tony Ward Couture gown with a daring sheer panel that stretched from her upper thigh to her lower calf. She added an extra dramatic flair to the look with her oversized crumpled silver cape.
