Kailyn Lowry wants to make sure her kids all feel loved and fulfilled

The podcasting mom, 32, opened up to PEOPLE about dividing her time as a mom of seven. While chatting about her current podcast tour, Lowry emphasized that her family is her "number one priority."

"Everyone around me knows I make sure that even though I did have three babies in one year, that my older kids never feel neglected, or a need for anything or want for anything," she shares.

Lowry shares infant twins Verse and Valley and toddler son Rio with fiancé Elijah Scott. She is also mom to Creed, 4, and Lux, 7, with ex Chris Lopez, 10-year-old son Lincoln with ex Javi Marroquin, and Isaac, 14, with ex Jo Rivera.

"It's really, really important to me to give them each their individual time, but also time as a family. Where I can, I make sure that I do a lot of things with my older kids," Lowry continues.

She adds, "As much as we love the babies, babies change schedules. We have to do nap time and feedings and we can't go certain places past 7:00 p.m. And so I make sure that with my partner, who is an equal partner, we're on the same page about understanding that I need to make time for my older kids."

Lowry is proud of how she and her fiancé are handling their time management amid their own professional lives and their bustling family life.

"We really do a good job at making sure that we're balancing family time with individual time because I do think that gets lost when busy schedules are taking over and people work and there are babies involved," she says.

"I want my teenagers and my tweens to know they matter. Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, Creed, they need to know that they're important, too, and that our house and our dynamic wouldn't be the same without them or their milestones. I want them to feel all of their needs are being met, so that's just something that we've always put at the forefront of everything."

Longtime fans of Lowry's are happy to see her thriving in her big family dynamic. Teen Mom fans, in particular, praise her beautiful bond with oldest Isaac, whose birth story was followed on 16 & Pregnant.

"Isaac and I are closer than ever, which shocks me a little bit because I feel like normally when you're a teenager you kind of distance yourself from your parents," she says. "You're in that weird puberty era. But Isaac and I have been closer than ever, and I really appreciate this kind of place that he's in right now. He just entered high school. He's going to be 15. This is a big deal for him, and I just want to show up in every way that he needs me."

Lowry is proud to watch the teen flourishing in exploring his passions, something the mom of seven has poured herself into with each of her kids. While Lincoln, Lux, and Creed enjoy sports, Isaac has gotten into learning American Sign Language (ASL) and developing a carefully monitored online presence.

"I'm proud of Isaac truly. I could not have predicted or would not have guessed any of my kids to be the influencer type. I just didn't think that they had interest in that. And so when Isaac came to me and asked me about that, I was like, 'Oh, okay, if you're showing expressing interest and that's an opportunity for you, absolutely we'll monitor it and we'll take it day by day,' " she says.

"Lincoln's always been a sports kid. He's always been heavily invested into sports. And so I was very nervous for Isaac not finding his niche or his interest," she admits.

Lowry adds, "Leaving middle school and entering high school gave him the opportunity to take ASL classes, which sparked and fueled this fire in him. I've absolutely loved him dedicating his extra time to doing something that's so important. And I think that, not for nothing, I do think that Jo, Vee and I are doing a really good job, and now Elijah, we're doing a great job."

As the kids have grown and changed, so too has Lowry, who is open about the fact that she's still learning as a mom of seven.

"As you evolve as a person, you should evolve as a mom. I think that's just learning from past mistakes," she says.

"Also, not one single motherhood journey is going to look the same as another's. The same can be said for a mother of multiple children. I feel like overall, I raise my kids the same, but because each child is so different, you tailor your parenting to each of the kids. I think that's really important. "

Lowry adds, "As I grow as a person, I grow as a mom and just kind of looking at the big picture, no journey is going to be the same. So I've learned to keep an open mind to others who want to share their stories with me, or even myself, to be open-minded myself with each of my kids. I think it's crucial to be open to a very broad perspective of all of things that are in the heart of motherhood."

Fans can catch Lowry, along with different co-hosts, on the rest of the Barely F------ Touring podcast tour.
