Last night, the 16-year-old model - who has walked for Saint Laurent, Prada, Burberry and Alexander Wang since her catwalk debut last September - looked elegant in a Versace black LBD with eyelet detailing and matching heels at a star-studded Omega event in Berlin.

The Californian beauty styled her look with loose curls and brown-hued make-up that perfectly extenuated her striking jawline and brow ridge.

During the evening, the model took to Instagram to wish a ‘happy birthday’ to Donatella Versace, pointing out that she’d worn one of the famous fashion designer’s pieces in honour of her 63rd birthday.

At the event, Gerber also feasted on a table full of sweet treats, calling it the ‘dessert table of my dreams’.

The event must have been a welcome relief for Cindy Crawford’s daughter, who has come under criticism with fashion brand Chanel in recent months following the release of her latest campaign with the company being deemed as ‘too sexy’.

Photographed by creative director Karl Lagerfeld for the luxury French brand’s new handbag campaign, the model poses alongside the label’s iconic ‘Gabrielle’ handbag in Coco Chanel’s Parisian apartment.

The star’s thigh-skimming skirt caused some critics to label the imagery ‘provocative’ and ‘inappropriate’ given her young age. Meanwhile, other fans defended Chanel’s choice of casting, claiming there was ‘nothing wrong’ with the imagery.
