Kaia Gerber Makes The Case For Eyelet Tops As A Chic Winter Clothing Piece

If your holiday outfit plans are still up in the air, Kaia Gerber just delivered a masterclass in chic yet laid-back dressing that’s perfect for your parents’ kitchen or the post-dinner digestion stroll.

Last week, the model attended Jake Shane’s Therapuss Live after-party at Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, trading the typical after-party uniform of sheer dresses and barely-there layers for something slightly more provincial.
Hinging on the cottagecore trend and grand return of boho, Gerber wore a casual cropped button-down blouse, styled with a pair of medium-wash, low-rise jeans, The eyelet shirt featured a Peter Pan collar and intricate needlepoint trim, offering a subtle vintage nod to the boho-chic aesthetic she has dipped her toes in recently.
It’s not the first time the supermodel has embraced a blouse. Back in September, Gerber hosted a group reading at New York’s iconic Hotel Chelsea wearing an ivory lace shirt with a caped silhouette from Chemena Kamali’s autumn/winter 2024 Chloé collection. Then on the Valentino Couture runway in 2023, Gerber opened the show in a deep plunge white shirt and those viral embroidered jeans.
To top off her most recent look, she added a pair of oval eyeglasses with thick black resin frames, a long black car coat, and gold hoop earrings. For glam, her dark brows were brushed out and her hair scraped back into a casual bun.
And while crisp white linen and intricate eyelet embroidery might seem like an unexpected choice for winter, Gerber proves they can work year-round. So, swap out the predictable peasant dress this year and channel Kaia Gerber’s understated cool.
